BIJT! Kunst over Voedsel Festival

De eerste editie van  BIJT! Kunst over Voedsel Festival is een feit! 

Met 12 dagen en ruim 60 verschillende programmaonderdelen kwam zondag 9 juli de eerste editie van BIJT! Kunst over Voedsel Festival ten einde. Een kleine 10.000 bezoekers van binnen én ver buiten de regio wisten dit nieuwe, overwegend gratis toegankelijke, festival te vinden. En nog belangrijker: de bezoekers van BIJT! reageerden enthousiast op alle kunst over voedsel.

Over de initiatiefnemers

BIJT! Kunst over Voedsel Festival is een nieuw tweejaarlijks initiatief van Cultuurfabriek Noordkade. Wij zijn een organisatie van coöperatief samenwerkende cultuurpartijen op de Veghelse Noordkade: Cultuur Haven Veghel, Phoenix Cultuur, De Compagnie en de Blauwe Kei, Theater aan de Noordkade. Ook voor BIJT! zoeken we nadrukkelijk de connectie met andere ondernemers op de Noordkade.

We zijn dagelijks bezig met kunst en cultuur. Het zet ons aan het denken, over onszelf en over de samenleving. Het draagt bij aan meer creativiteit, een beter sociaal milieu, goede omgangsvormen tussen mensen en beter begrip tussen culturen: ‘Food for Thought’ dus! We voelen ons betrokken bij het vraagstuk over voedseltransitie. Door kunst hopen we een verschil te kunnen maken en onze bezoekers met andere ogen te laten kijken naar ons voedsel, nu en in de toekomst. BIJT! Kunst over Voedsel Festival is soms bijtend, vaak zinnenprikkelend en niet zelden tongstrelend.
